Custom built restaurant restaurant menu

This function was custom built for one of our clients. It is a simple menu system that allows their content manager to log in and manage menu items by category.

Add / Edit a menu item:

1. Log into WordPress
2. Go to Food Menu > Add New
3. Click add new, to add a new menu item.
4. Enter:
   1. A title
   2. A short description of the dish
   3. Price
   4. Select if the item is on special
   5. Enter the order in which you would like the menu item to appear on the page.
   6. Make sure to select a category such as “Appetizers” or “Beverages” found on the right-hand side of the page.
5. Click save.
6. To edit the menu go to Menu > Food Menu
7. Click the title link to of an item to enter and edit an item.

Add / Edit a category

1. Log into WordPress
2. Go to Food Menu > Categories
3. Enter details to add a new category
4. Or select an existing category from the list found on the right-hand side of the page.
5. Once selected:
   1. You can edit details like the title, slug, set a parent category and also a description
   2. The order field determines what order this category item appears in.
6. Click save
